Data privacy

Scope

This data privacy statement tells users about the nature, extent and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the Provider mentioned in the legal notice on this website (hereinafter "Offer").

The legal bases of data privacy are the German Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Teleservices Act (Telemediengesetz, TMG).

Access data / server log files

The Provider (or its web space provider) collects data concerning any access to the Offer (known as server log files). Access data include the name of the accessed website, file, the date and time of retrieval, the volume of data transferred, the report of successful retrieval, the browser type and version, the user operating system, the referrer URL (the previously visited site), the IP address and the requesting provider.

The Provider uses the log data only for statistical analyses for the purpose of the operation, security and optimisation of the Offer. However, the Provider reserves the right to review the log data subsequently if there are concrete grounds for a legitimate suspicion of unlawful use.

How personal data are handled

Personal data are pieces of information that enable a person to be identified, i.e. details that can be traced back to a particular person. They include the name, email address or telephone number. Data about preferences, hobbies, memberships or what websites have been viewed by someone are also classed as personal data.

Personal data will only be collected, used and passed on by the Provider if it is legally permissible to do so or users give their consent to data collection.

Making contact

When contact is made with the Provider (e.g. using the contact form or by email), the user's details will be stored for the purpose of answering the query and for the case that questions arise subsequently.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that allow specific information relating to the user's access device (PC, smartphone or the like) to be stored. They are used both to improve the user-friendliness of web pages for the benefit of users (e.g. storage of login data) and to record the statistical data relating to use of the website so that these can be analysed in order to improve the Offer. Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option for limiting the storage of cookies or preventing it entirely. Please note, however, that limiting cookies may restrict the functionality and in particular convenience of the site.

Withdrawal of consent, changes, rectifications and updates

Users have the right to be informed free of charge on request of the personal data concerning them that are stored. Users also have the right to have incorrect data rectified and to have their personal data blocked or erased, except where doing so conflicts with a statutory duty of retention.
